ABOUT ME

My name is Logan Bodenhamer. I am a filmmaker with a passion for learning and I constantly experiment with new techniques in my work. Currently, I am a freelancer with a focus on Directing, VFX, and Cinematography, but I have experience in Writing, Editing, and Grip and Electric as well.

For as long as I can remember, I have been driven to create. My journey into digital art began with a game design workshop in the fifth grade, where I was captured by the ability to create something that contained motion and could interact with the viewer more than a still piece. This led me to eventually discover filmmaking during a media arts course in high school. Though there were no games made in that class, I found a way to use my game design experience in films through VFX, and began creating hybrid live-action/animated shorts. Following high school, I attended Wichita State University (WSU) and initially continued to pursue a game design career until I took a transformational opportunity to work on set for the feature film “Sod and Stubble” during the summer of 2023. There I experienced my first professional film set and fell in love with the active and collaborative environment as well as the process of filmmaking, which inspired me to shift into a filmmaking career. During my final year at WSU, I immersed myself in various film projects, rekindling my interest in VFX and discovering a new passion for cinematography. This culminated in my senior project, where I used Virtual Production to create a film set in space through the union of game design and filmmaking techniques. After graduating in May 2024, I continued to craft that project into my latest film "Edge of Oblivion." Now in my career as a freelancer, I am excited to keep learning new skills and challenging myself to grow as a filmmaker and an artist.
